Tvrz Orlice (Letohrad)

The fortress is situated on the outskirts of Letohrad in the middle of the countryside in the foothills of the Eagle Mountains. Residence was built probably in the late 13th century.  The fortress was rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau in the 16th century. Accommodation is part of a large part of the newly built only a breakfast room and four VIP rooms will be placed in the original baroque barn, which will be linked directly with the hotel. The hotel complex includes a restaurant, a historic tavern, museum, playground. All are located on the edge of the pond.

The permanent residents of the area became red and Coati – Kristýnka name and eagle owl.

The hotel has  wheelchair access. A natural part of the hotel is internet, wellness and parking place.

PROVIDING SERVICES

Reception is running non-stop 24 hours and is located in the central part of the hotel.

Visitors of fortress (museum) have possibility to choose sightseeing tour from three prepared circuits, or combined them tohether.  The two main routes are eually interesting,but each has different attractions. Duration of the visit every major route is approximately 50 minutes. It depend on the visitors, if they visit these routes all at once with one short break.

There is possibility to use toilet and bathroom during the break

There is prepared an extra route especially for children, nevertheless also for other visitors, who love animals. Duration of these exposition is about 25 minutes.

SPORTS FACILITIES

The hotel is located on a hiking and biking trail.  There are various sports facilities such as tennis courts in the vicinity of the area. You may also visit the nearby dam Pastures name.

GASTRONOMY

Restaurant for the public and hotel guests is located in the Renaissance hall on the ground floor Stronghold.  Includes a terrace overlooking the pond. ¨
Interesting environment for medieval feasting and drinking offers medieval tavern in the basement of the Renaissance fortress.

The menu focuses on traditional Czech cuisine, but you also find here indispensable

intercontinental dishes.
